About Course

The Building Science Fundamentals workshop (in cooperation with Enerhold Solutions Ltd) is the beginning move toward becoming a residential Registered Energy Advisor (EA). The course provides participants with a comprehensive overview of building science principles and working practices for EAs.

During this four-day course, participants get prepared for the Foundation Level exam by learning a complete set of building science according to the NRCan Foundation Competency Profile including geometric and arithmetic calculations, unit conversions, how to interpret and understand house plans, building envelopes, mechanical systems, indoor air quality, and renewable energy systems.

The foundation workshop is intended to prepare participants to pass confidently NRCan’s Foundation Level Exam and covers the following content:
